Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Primary Teacher English Medium HSC AND PTC 2011 will be conducted by the Gujarat School Education Board and the State Council of Education Research Training. This exam will be held y the Gujarat School Examination Board for the upper primary and the primary teachers. This test is mainly conducted for testing the eligibility of candidates who have applied for the post of teachers from classes one to five and six to eight. If the candidates have missed the TET test in May, they can appear for special examinations that are conducted in the month of February.
All eligible candidates will get their original Admit Card by post on their postal addresses before examination. If a candidate has not received the admit card by post, he needs to visit the district education officer where the application form was submitted. He has to carry the application form submission receipt along with two photographs. Given below is the eligibility criteria for appearing for the TET test:
For classes one to five
Candidates must have a degree of intermediate. They must secure minimum 50 percent marks for applying to this TET 2012. They can also have a degree of 2 years diploma in education from a recognized university or board.
For classes six to eight
Candidates must have a degree of graduation. Through this degree, they can apply to the TET 2012. They can also have a bachelors degree in which they have scored minimum 50 percent marks. A one year B.EID in education will also do.
Qualifying marks
Candidates have to secure minimum 60 percent marks for qualifying in the TET 2012. Their score can be improved if they attempt for other exams. However, guarantee of employment is not given by the Gujarat Teacher Eligibility Test.
TET certificate
The certificate of TET will be issued to qualified candidates after the written exam.
Age limit
The age limit for males and females belonging to general category is 37 years. The age limit for males and females belonging to other backward classes is 40 years. The age limit for males and females belonging to ST and SC category is 42 years.
Exam center for TET
The exam center for TET 2012 will be notified through the hall ticket. This examination will be conducted in different districts of Gujarat.
Exam pattern for TET
The exam pattern for TET will comprise of 150 objective type questions. These questions carry 150 marks. the candidates will be given one and a half hour for solving these questions. However, in this exam pattern there is no negative marking.
Syllabus for TET
The syllabus of TET exam will cover various current affairs, general awareness, social sciences, mathematics, learning processes and child development. Interested candidates can check the syllabus on the website.
Admit card for TET
The admit card for this test is available for more than 26 lakh applicants. This card will be made available one week before the examination.
